Concept

Condimentos- Always add some flavor to enhance the existing flavors. We often navigate the world through habits and assumptions that feel natural but sometimes limit how we see and act. This started as a participatory performance involving individuals from diverse cultural contexts. This encounter has been disrupted and reconfigured into a generative form. 





Role: Art direction for Performance. Editing with Touch Designer

Project: Surroundings shape people. How does that translate into habits and assumptions?








By experiencing a situation that can feel intimidating, perception is shifted once the familiar is unsettled. These were not treated as finished actions but as material to be transformed.

To simulate this transformation,  performance was translated into TouchDesigner, the traces were transformed into changing, flowing, generative visuals where shapes and forms emerge, dissolve, and reconstitute.

Experience becomes a pattern, and meaning arises once it is translated rather than once it is represented.

There is a threshold between familiarity and strangeness.
